A simple piece of clay transforms into art. With creativity, the possibilities of creating are endless. Boxes, towers, birds and women. These are the specialities of Marianne Ouwendijk. I’ve made photographs and a video for social media or used in catalogues by art galleries.
The process
The natural light fits well with the natural material of the art. It is a raw and honest representation. I’ve tried to look for interesting compositions that still show the art for what it is but also make the photos look like art them selfs. With a shallow depth of field, I guide the eye to the relevant details.
The video shows the process of making the art. It is a slowly passed video that represents the slow and time-consuming process of ceramic art making. From shaping, drying, baking, glazing and baking again. It is art made with patience and with an eye for detail.
